| The
Lord Chancellor's Scheme is aimed at commercial lawyers from the
People's Republic of China aged between 25 and 40 with
at least two years' post qualification experience, and
who are working full time in a Chinese law firm. Applicants
should have excellent English skills, with an overall IELTS (general) score of at least 6.5, with 6.0 or better in each
category. The better the IELTS score, the
greater the chance the applicant has of being selected for
interview.
Applications are particularly welcome from lawyers working
in the West of China or from other provinces where the
legal system is less well developed.
Every year between 12 and 15 lawyers are selected to
take part in the Scheme.
